Reysol forward Olunga was the star of the game during Tokushima’s match against the hosts. The striker gave Tokushima’s defense a hard time, especially when joined by teammate Cristiano.
The locals capitalized on the chances during the first half, and Olunga was involved in all of them. First chance came as a header that hit the crossbar. Minutes later, duo Cristiano and Olunga, created the goal for the hosts. After a great interception by Kajikawa, the African forward managed to find the back of the net. During the remaining minutes of the first half, Olunga had several chances to increase the lead against Tokushima.
In the second half of the match, Kiyotake came close to scoring the equaliser, however Reysol’s goalkeeper came out to get his body in the way. The game saw a more defensive Reysol during the second half, relying mostly on quick counter-attacks. During one occasion, Olunga gave a pass to Cristiano, who could have scored the second through a shot from outside the penalty box that was deflected by Kajikawa. Minutes later, Cristiano had an opportunity to score, however his shot went over the goal of Vortis.
Tokushima had multiple chances to draw during the game, as we have witnessed during previous games this season. But this time neither Kiyotake, nor Buijs, were able to find the back of the net. Tokushima currently remain in 13th place with 16 points. The next game will be played at home against Montedio.
