Japan League 2 has entered the final rounds, where Tokushima, after defeating Jubilo 3-1 at home, arrives as the leader of the competition tied in points (62) with Avispa Fukuoka. Behind, the situation seems to be defined, where only Nagasaki with 57 points is able to stand the pace of the first two. The best news for Tokushima – and for the rest – is that fourth-placed Giravanz is twelve points behind. So it seems that in this final leg the direct promotion will be disputed among Tokushima, Fukuoka and Giravanz. Three teams for two spots, and with an advantage for the first two mentioned.

The victory against Júbilo met all the skills that Tokushima Vortis is showing this season; a solid team, capable of generating offensive play and overcoming the most complex moments. Júbilo neutralized Tokushima’s lead in the 16th minute, after the Blues went ahead on the scoreboard with a goal by Kakita in a quick offensive play resolved with great action by the blue striker. Far from accusing the blow, Ricardo Rodríguez’s team reacted with another goal. A run down the right wing that ended in a cross into the box finished on goal by Nishiya.

This is Tokushima’s 2020 season, where it seems that nothing and no one is capable of limiting their aspirations. Already in the second half, Tokushima certified the victory with a new goal from Kakita-minute 67- via another crossing from the right wing that the local striker put in the net with a header.

There are only eleven games left for the end of the season. In other words, there are eleven finals left to get direction promotion to Japan League 1.
