Matchday 26 in Thai Premier League, in which Bangkok Glass paid visit to Nakhon Ratchasima, team that is doing a good season and is placed in mid-table. Local win by 1-0 in a game clearly dominated by the visiting team. In the first leg, the score was 3 goals to 1 for Bangkok Glass.
The visiting team could take the lead in the scoreboard in their first attempt, in a free-kick executed to the box from right wing, the ball went to the far post where Praweenwat kicked the ball poorly and Aridane deflected it to the net, but the linesman signalled offside. Aridane again had the following two chances for Bangkok Glass, first in a play in right wing that ended in a low crossing to the box, the defence could not clear and the ball ended in the feet of Aridane, who kicked nicely on goal with a heel shot but the ball went directly into the goalkeeper‘s hands; and then in a through-pass in a break-through in right wing that ended with a shot that went wide out. The next chance came from a play in right side, after a combination in the edge of the box the ball ended in Tanasith in the left side of the box, his shot was cleared by the goalkeeper with a great save but the deflection went back to Tanasith and his second shot on goal was again cleared by the goalkeeper with a magnificent save. Suban had it also in a free-kick executed from outside the box, but his shot centred to the heart of the box did not find any scorer. For the local side, almost nothing to highlight in the first half, two long-distance shots that went wide out, and another shot from the edge of the box that was saved by Narit without trouble. The last one before halftime was again for Aridane, in a crossing to the box from the goal line in left side but his header went out over the bar.
The second half changed and started with an opportunity for the local team in a long ball to the forward from right side that left him hand-to-hand against Narit, but his shot went out. Bangkok Glass answered with a free-kick executed to the box from midfield that was headed out by Aridane. The polemic play of the game came shortly after, in a break-through into the box by Suban in right wing, who was stopped in foul by a local defender, but the referee whistled corner. The rest of the second half did not have many more goal chances, until minute 90 when the local team scored their goal. A play in left wing ended with a crossing to the far post where Malek controlled the ball without opposition and beat Narit with a powerful shot. Bangkok Glass tried desperately in a last play that ended with a crossing to the box from left wing that Matt Smith headed wide out. This was the last action of a match in which the scoreboard did not reflect what happened on the pitch, with Bangkok Glass creating multiple chances but without accuracy to score, and with the local team converting their only clear chance in the whole game.
After this defeat Bangkok Glass is now fourth in the standings with 46 points, one point below Bangkok United, that is now third, and tied to Ratchaburi. At the top, Buriram United took advantage of the tie of Muang Thong and is now leader alone with 62 points, two points ahead of its rival for the title.
