Matchday 27 in Thai Premier League, in which Bangkok Glass received at Leo Stadium the visit of Osotspa. Points shared at the end of the 90 minutes in a closed match without many goal chances. In the first leg, Osotspa had won by 1-0.
The first half did not have many goal opportunities, with Bangkok Glass trying to take the initiative in the play and the visiting team more focused on not conceding any goal. The match started with a chance for the local team in a corner-kick from the left side that Matt Smith headed slightly out. Osotspa answered with a long distance shot that was well cleared to corner by Narit. Toti had the chance to put his team in advantage in the next play, but his shot from the edge of the box was cleared to corner by the goalkeeper with some difficulties. The visiting team answered again with a far shot, in a free-kick that went over the bar. Not much else to highlight in the first half, in which the attacks by the local team crashed against the steel defence outlined by their rival.
The second half started with Bangkok Glass more intense in attack, creating several consecutive opportunities. In the first one, a free-kick from the right side was headed by Matt Smith slightly over the bar. In the next one, a play in left wing ended in a crossing to the box that was shot on goal by Aridane in the near post coming from second line but the ball went out. Yet they would not miss the next one; it was minute 51. In a crossing to the area from right wing, the defender failed to clear the ball and it was hit by Aridane placing his leg instinctively, sending the ball to the back of the net. The goal made justice to the merits done by both teams. However, football is sometimes unfair, and Osotspa tied the game only 9 minutes later, in a defensive error of the local team. A crossing to the box from right wing ended with a header that went directly into Narit‘s hands, who tried to play the ball quickly with his hands, there was a misunderstanding with the defence and the ball ended in the feet of Noppol who shot on goal, the ball deflected in the back of Kingkaew and entered the goal. A very unfortunate play. Aridane could untie the match in a personal play inside the box, but his shot went out nearly touching the left post of the rival goal. The only chance for the visiting team in the whole second half came from a crossing to the box from left wing that was headed softly into the hands of Narit. Till the end, not much else to comment. Osotspa continued playing defensively, trying to complicate the attacks of Bangkok Glass, that despite the insistence could not score the definitive goal.
With this point, Bangkok Glass recovers the third place in the table, tied to 47 points with Bangkok United, and one ahead of Ratchaburi, who is fifth. On top, both teams won and Buriram continues leading the standings with 65 points and Muang Thong is second with 63 points.
