Matchday 29 in Thai Premier League, in which Bangkok Glass received the visit of TOT, last in the standings. Bangkok Glass started well after the League break and won the 3 points in a game that dominated totally. In the first leg, same result but for TOT.
Once again, Bangkok Glass started the match against the tide, as the visiting team took the lead in the second minute, in their first attempt on goal, and although Aridane already had the chance to put his team in advantage after a crossing from left wing that he could not head properly. TOT opened the score in a play in left wing, the rival player reached the goal line and crossed the ball back, the defence could not clear and the ball ended in the feet of Pongsakon in the edge of the box, who beat Narit with a low crossed shot to his right post. From there, the opportunities for Bangkok Glass followed one another, the first one from Narong in a crossed shot from the left edge of the box that went out nearly touching the left post; the next one for Toti in a very similar action with a shot from the same position that also went slightly out close to the left post; the third one for Aridane in a corner-kick from the right side to the far post but his header went directly to the goalkeeper‘s hands; the next one for Kaikaew in a free-kick from the left side of the edge of the box that went out slightly over the bar; another one for Narong in a crossing from Aridane in right wing to the far post, but his shot coming from second line went high; the next two again for Aridane, first in a crossing from right side that he headed slightly out, and then in another crossing to the near post from right wing that he could not kick properly in a struggle with the goalkeeper and a defender. Despite all these chances, the first half incredibly ended with the visiting team in advantage.
The siege was even more intense during the second half. The local team could score three or four goals only within the first five minutes, first with a crossed shot from the right edge of the box after a series of deflections; then after a crossing from right wing to the far post that Toti kicked with no opposition but the goalkeeper saved with the foot over the goal line; the third one in another crossing from right wing to the far post that Aridane headed out close to the post; and last with a shot by Bordin from the edge of the box that went out nearly touching the right post. Yet in the next chance the local team levelled the score. A ball crossed to the box from right wing deflected in the leg of a defender and ended in Aridane inside the small box in the far post, who only had to head on goal; it was minute 51. The local team continued the same, being a hurricane against the rival‘s goal, and opportunities continued following one another. Bordin had it with a shot from the edge of the box that went over the bar; then Aridane after a play by Tanasith in centre-attack position, passed the ball to Aridane in the left side of the box but his low shot was well blocked by the goalkeeper; another crossing from right wing was headed out by Chatree; again in right wing, a crossing to the box could not be kicked by Chatree and Aridane in the far post kicked out; another one for Chatree in a corner-kick from the right side that he headed out; the next one in a crossing-kick by Siwakorn from left wing that nearly entered the goal close to the left up-hand side corner; the next one for Peeraphong in a long distance missile that hit the bar and the ball bounced on the goal line; then in a corner-kick from right side that Toti headed in the near post, the goalkeeper cleared the ball with a great save over the line, the ball went deflected to Chatree who headed and the goalkeeper saved again, the ball then went deflected to Aridane, who kicked out. It was incredible that the ball did not want to get into the net, but football made justice at the very end. In the 95th minute Aridane scored the victory goal after a crossing to the far post from right side that he kicked on goal with no opposition.
With this win, Bangkok Glass recovers the third place with 51 points, one point ahead of Bangkok United, which is fourth, and three ahead of Chonburi and Suphanburi, who are fourth and fifth. On top, Buriram increases the advantage after their win and the tie of Muang Thong, and it is first now 7 points over its rival.
