Away match for us in matchday 13 of Thai Premier League against Songkhla United FC. The origins of this club are a bit curious because they were founded in another province under the name of Buriram FC, but later sold by a Thai politician to Songkhla FC, as this province did not have an elite football team. In 2013 they changed the name to the actual one. The final score of the game was 1-1.
It was a match without good opportunities for either side and the first half did not have any shoots on goal.
Shortly after halftime we scored our goal, Genki Nagasato controlled a ball inside the box and scored with a great high shot. It was the 50th minute and seemed as we had achieved the most difficult, to take advantage in a match without many clear goal chances. In the 67th minute Songkhla levelled the scoreboard through a polemic penalty. From there to the end there were not many more chances, the best one was for them in the 73rd minute after some chaos inside our box, but Henri was quick to deflect the ball to corner when the rival player just had to kick the ball inside the net.
With this new point we now have 18 and we are in 12th place in the table, 9 points behind the new leader, Muang Thong United, who won by 1-0 over Chonburi FC and took advantage from the draw of BEC Tero Sasana and Police United FC, and now is leader alone of the competition.
We have to keep working hard to come back as soon as possible to victories and remain close the first spots of the championship.
