In matchday 16 we played an away game against Bangkok Glass, currently 9th in the standings with 23 points. We won 2-4 with a hat-trick by Heberty.
First chance of the game was for Bangkok Glass after a loss in our own pitch, but the shot from the edge of the box was blocked by Ukrit without much trouble. In the 14th minute we scored our first goal, Heberty received a ball in the right wing, dribbled a defender, in the edge of the box dribbled a second defender and with a powerful shot he beat the rival goalkeeper, a great goal to open the score. Not much more to highlight in this first half, some shots from outside the box that sometimes went out and others to the hands of the goalkeepers.
The second half started well for us, in the 48th minute Heberty only had to push the ball into the net thanks to a poor move from the goalkeeper, who could not clear a long pass from our own side. In the 54th minute it seemed we had resolved the match when Heberty again received a pass in the right side from Douglas and beat the rival goalkeeper in the hand-to-hand. After this, we had two clear opportunities to score the fourth goal, first one with a shot by Assadin, too centred, that went to the goalkeeper’s hands, and the second one with a hand-to-hand by Heberty also saved by the rival goalkeeper.
First goal for Bangkok Glass came in the 66th minute, after a prior shot to the bar, with a header after a cross from the left side, Ukrit managed to touch the ball but not enough to stop it. In the 84th minute, after an obvious penalty they scored the 2-3 and made us doubt about the victory, until the 89th minute when Rattana scored the definitive 2-4.
The website Goal Thailand selected Heberty for the best-11 and me as the best coach of the day, but the most important thing was that we finally broke the bad run of results, from matchday 6 without a win in League. During this period we had 4 draws and 4 losses, which means being placed 9th 10 points behind the leader, Muang Thong United, who is tied in points with BEC Tero Sasana.
