In matchday 17 of Thai Premier League we had a home game against PTT Rayong FC, currently 18th in the table with 13 points. The final score was 3-2.
Despite winning the game, we started the match losing. In the 9th minute, the rival forward, Rufo Sánchez, dribbled Ukrit after a through pass and scored kicking a high ball that made impossible for Henri and Apiwat to clear the ball. 2 minutes later, Rattana, with a far distance shot, made the rival goalkeeper work. In the 13th minute Assadin was close to tie the match but his shot from outside the box was touched by the goalkeeper enough to send the ball to the side of the net. 1 minute later we levelled the game, Sila crossed a ball from the right side and Nagasato headed to the net, the goalkeeper touched the ball but not enough to stop it. The 2-1 was converted by Heberty from a penalty committed over him, he controlled the ball with a nice touch outside the area, entered the box and was knocked down by a rival defender; it was minute 26. Before half time they levelled the game, first they were close in a personal play on the goal line, but the shot was blocked well by Ukrit, but after the goal-kick they recovered the ball and with a great through pass from Rufo Sánchez between our central defenders he allowed a teammate a hand-to-hand with our goalkeeper that he resolved well with a shot close to the right post.
After a first half with so many alternatives, the second half started in the same fashion and we soon took the lead again; Douglas passed Heberty when he was slightly inside the box and with a great shot established the 3-2 in the scoreboard. Hereafter we controlled the rival, who created nearly no goal opportunities. We could increase the difference in the scoreboard with a good long distance shot by Chutipon that the rival goalkeeper deflected to corner with a good save.
Heberty, with his 2 goals today, was selected again for the best-11 of the day for Goal Thailand. After this match we escalate 1 position, to the 8th place with 25 points, tied with Singhtarua FC, but above them due to our better goal-average, and 10 points behind the first place, that has no changes after the ties of Muang Thong and BEC Tero.
