Matchday 18 of Thai Premier League when we visited Chiangrai United. The final score was 3-3, although we were losing 3-1.
The first clear opportunity of the game was ours, when a breakthrough by Sila in the right wing, and his subsequent cross to the box, was shot by Heberty over the bar. The following chance was for Chiangrai, but their shot went to the side of the net. It was not a first half with many goal chances but Chiangrai went to half time with 2-0 in the scoreboard. First goal in minute 24, with a header after a free-kick, and second goal in the 42nd minute after a pass in the central edge of the box to the rival attacker who scored with a great left-foot shot, unstoppable for Ukrit.
In the second half we pushed harder in attack and in the 52nd minute we reduced the difference in the scoreboard with a goal by Douglas, who controlled a through pass that allowed him a hand-to-hand against the goalkeeper and beat him. The blow came in the 57th minute, when Chiangrai scored the 3-1, but then we showed we are a team with character and shortly after (minute 61) we reduced the difference again by Heberty, with a strong low shot unstoppable for the rival goalkeeper. The definitive draw came in the 83rd minute with a great free-kick by Heberty that entered the goal close to the right post.
Heberty was selected again for the best-11 of Goal Thailand for the third match in a row, without taking into consideration the postponed game of matchday 14. With this tie we descend 1 place, to the 9th spot, with 26 points, 10 points behind the leaders, Muang Thong United and BEC Tero Sasana, that continue tied, both in points and goal-average; Buriram United, thanks to an amazing run of 5 wins in a row, is now 3rd only 3 points behind.
