In matchday 19 we had a home game against Samut Songkhram FC, last in the standings of Thai Premier League. The final score was 3-1.
Although we ended up winning the match, we started losing. In the 29th minute, Samut Songkhram took the lead thanks to a powerful jump and header from a rival defender incorporated to an attacking play. We had a couple chances to take advantage before that goal with a low shot from Douglas in a free-kick that went out close to the left post, and with a long distance shot from Chutipon that went out close to the bar. We tied the match before half time by Heberty (minute 40) with a far distance free-kick that the goalkeeper could not stop due to a strange curve from the ball.
The first opportunity in the second half was ours when Yai received a deflection near the post and his shot was saved by the rival goalkeeper. The second chance was for Samut, when a rival attacker made a poor control after a through pass that allowed Ukrit to go for the ball and the deflection hit the rival player and nearly entered into our own goal. Before the 2-1 we also had the chance to take the lead, first with a good shot by Heberty that went slightly over the bar, and shortly after with an attempted overhead volley by Heberty. This was just a warning, because in the 61st minute Heberty passed the ball to Douglas over the defence, who dribbled the goalkeeper with a great control and scored. The definitive goal came in the 75th minute with a header by Henri, taking advantage of a poor action from the goalkeeper, after a free-kick from Heberty, who was involved in all goals and appeared again in the best-11 of the day. We could score a fourth goal but the goalkeeper made a good save on the header by Dummie.
With this win we reach half season and we accumulate 5 matches without a defeat. We had 3 wins and 2 draws, which allow us to have 29 points and be in 8th position, 10 points behind the leader, Muang Thong United, who is leader alone now. We have to highlight the new win by Buriram United, 6 victories in a row with these 3 points, that make them a contender for the title.
