We had a difficult home game in matchday 21 of Thai Premier League against Buriram United, the team currently in best shape of the championship. The result in the first leg was 0-0, this time the score was 0-2.
In minute 14, in a free-kick from the edge of the box that hit the post after Ukrit touched the ball, the deflection went to a rival attacker who only had to push the ball into the net, because our goalkeeper was still in the ground. Shortly after, we had the opportunity to level the match with a far free-kick executed by Heberty that hit the bar, after a deflection from the rival goalkeeper. Buriram also had chances to increase the advantage in the scoreboard, first in an action that went to the post after Ukrit covered well the angle. Then with another ball to the post, this time with a volley from the edge of the box after a head clearance from our defence. Goal was close and it came in the 45th minute by the Spanish-Philippine forward Javier Patiño, with a good header after a cross from the left side.
We had a difficult situation to face in the second half, moreover when in the 58th minute our left back, Ekkaluck, was sent off. Hereafter, there was not any danger in either box, except some out of the box shots from Quero and Heberty without consequences.
After this defeat we are still in 7th place with 32 points, 11 under the leaders Muang Thong United and BEC Tero Sasana, who both won their matches. Buriram is 1 point behind them.
