We played matchday 24 in our home stadium against Muang Thong United, current leader alone of the championship. The final score was 2-2. This team will play next 30th July a friendly match against Almería, team from Spanish First Division that has in its squad Teerasil Dangda, forward on loan from Muang Thong, and who will be the first Thai player to ever play in Liga BBVA. The Spanish club will do part of its pre-season in Thailand.
In a game without too many goal opportunities, the first one was for Muang Thong with a shot from outside the box that went out close to the left post, although Ukrit was covering well that post; it was minute 25. 2 minutes later came the 0-1, the rival attacker slipped between our central defenders, he received a pass from a teammate and his shot entered slowly into the goal after touching in Apiwat, who tried to block the shot. In the 35th minute we tied the game, Ekkaluck crossed the ball to the box from the left side and Genki, inside the box and with a volley scored the draw. First half ended like this.
In the 52nd minute we took the lead. Genki pressed 2 defenders and one of them passed the ball to the goalkeeper, but it went short and Heberty reached the ball before the goalkeeper and scored without opposition. Our joy lasted little because 2 minutes later Muang Thong levelled the game with a header after a corner-kick. Hereafter, both teams had a chance, first one for our rival, after a free-kick that their attacker could not reach by little, and then ours with a free-kick executed by Quero from the left side headed by Douglas but well saved by the rival goalkeeper; they were in the minutes 60 and 73, respectively.
Thanks to his great work on the field, Genki Nagasato was elected for the best-11 of the day by Goal Thailand.
After this match we remain in 7th place with 36 points, 14 behind our rival today, who is still leader alone 3 points ahead of Buriram United and Chonburi; the latter stole the third place from BEC Tero Sasana, now fourth with 45 points.
