In matchday 25 we played an away game against Army United, team from the Thai army, and the final score was 2-1. In the first leg we won 3-0.
Despite the defeat we could take the lead in the match in the 7th minute by Chutipon, but the shot from the edge of the box went out. 3 minutes later came the first goal of Army United, Ukrit saved a shot from the central edge of the box but the deflection went to the rival forward who scored with a good crossed shot to establish the 1-0 in the scoreboard. In the 39th minute they could score the second goal but this time the strong shot went out. These were the chances in a first half without too many goal opportunities.
In the 50th minute we had a good opportunity to level the score, Chutipon made a through pass to the right side to Genki, who outplayed a rival defender and his pass to the heart of the box was shot high by Heberty. Usually he does not miss this type of opportunities but today was not our day, as it was proved 2 minutes later when another pass into the box from the left side was kicked in one touch by Douglas but the ball went to the goalkeeper’s feet. In the 61st minute Fabio Lopes had his chance, but his shot, a bit soft but well aimed to the right post, went slightly deviated. After these good chances for us came the second goal for Army, it was minute 80 when a cross from the right side was shot on goal with a sliding header by a rival attacker, more effectiveness was impossible. Despite this blow we were able to reduce the distance in the scoreboard thanks to a tremendous shot by Sila from outside the box that entered the goal close to the bar, but it was minute 88 and there were no more clear chances of goal.
With this defeat we descend to 9th place, surpassed by our rival today, and we are 14 points behind the 1st place, where there is a triple draw with 50 points among Buriram United, Muang Thong United and Chonburi FC, in this order.
