We had to comeback against Buriram United, the team in better shape in Thailand and leader of Thai Premier League, if we wanted to play the final of Toyota Cup. At the end we could not reach the final because we lost 1-2, but we did a great tournament reaching the semi-finals.
The first goal of the game was made by Buriram after a sided free-kick that Tuñez, former player of Celta de Vigo, headed anticipating to Chayut; it was the extra time of the first half. A shame we received this goal when the time was almost over.
The second goal of Buriram was also scored by an ex-player from the Spanish League, this time Carmelo, former player of Sporting de Gijón, who headed a corner-kick in the 72nd minute. Shortly after, in the minute 78, we reduced the difference in the scoreboard and put some emotion in the round thanks to the goal scored by Heberty, from a penalty committed over Yai. Unfortunately, the scoreboard did not move anymore and we were eliminated, but with proud.
Buriram United and BEC Tero Sasana will play the final, the latter knocked-out Nakhon Ratchasima, from Yamaha League 1 (Second Division) for a total 5-2 in the round. Best luck to both.
