Matchday 33: Singhtarua 2 – Ratchaburi 2

Away game in matchday 33 of Thai Premier League against Singhtarua. The score was 2-2, in the first leg the score was 0-0.

The first chance of the first half was for Singhtarua after only 2 minutes with a shot from the left edge of the box that went out close to the right post. In the 8th minute, the rival forward had a good chance with a shot from the left side of the box that was saved by Ukrit with a good hand close to the left post. Our first clear opportunity came in the 27th minute, with a ball crossed to the box that Fabio Lopes headed out close to the right post. Shortly after, Singhtarua took the lead in the 30th minute with a great goal by the rival attacker, who received a high pass to the back of the defence and beat our goalkeeper with a nice parabola shot from outside the box. In the 35th minute our rival had a chance to increase the difference in the scoreboard with a ball crossed to the box from the left side, which was slightly touched back with the head by a rival player and ended in the feet of a teammate who shot over the bar. We reacted well and in the 41st minute we levelled the match, after a good combination in the left wing and cross to the box that was headed into goal by Heberty coming from the second line.

However, our joy lasted only 5 minutes, and Singhtarua drew the match with a header from the attacker after a ball crossed from the left side. From there till the end of the match there were not any clear chances for neither side.

With this point we are in 5th place in the standings with 52 points, still behind Muang Thong United and BEC Tero Sasana, 4th and 3rd in the table. In the fight for the title, Buriram United took advantage of the defeat of Chonburi to increase the difference to 4 points with only 5 games to go.
