Match corresponding to date 6 of Thai Premier League, in which Bangkok Glass visited TOT, last in the standings. Local win by 2-1, and first defeat of the season in TPL for Bangkok Glass, that moved the team out of the leadership of Thai League.
Bangkok Glass had the clear control of the game during the first 45 minutes, with plenty of opportunities. However, TOT generated more dangerous plays in their only two approaches to the visiting team’s goal in all first half, the first one went to the post and the second one ended in a goal. First chance of the match was for Bangkok Glass, but the header by Leandro, after a cross from the left side, went out left to the goal. Shortly after Wasan had another one, after a breakthrough from the right side, but his long-distance shot was blocked by the goalkeeper not without some difficulty. After this chance came the first approach on goal by TOT, with a good cross from the left wing that was headed nicely by the rival attacker but the ball hit the left post of Narit’s goal. Bangkok Glass had two further chances, with a very far shot from Peeraphong that went directly to the goalkeeper’s hands, and with a shot from the side of the box from Leandro that went over the bar. In the 31st minute TOT took the lead in a counterattack 2 against 1 after a ball loss by Bangkok Glass in midfield; the rival player Nopphon received a through pass from a teammate and faced a hand-to-hand against Narit and beat him with a crossed shot. There were not more movements in the rest of the first half.
Second half was more balanced, with opportunities for both sides. The first chance was for Bangkok Glass, in a through pass inside the box to Leandro, but his shot-cross was blocked by the goalkeeper. Shortly after TOT answered with a free-kick from the left side of the box that hit the bar. In the 60th minute came the second goal of TOT, with a shot from outside the left side of the box from Niamkong, the shot caught Narit poorly situated and the ball entered the goal close to the right post. Bangkok Glass could reduce the distance in the scoreboard with a ball into the box headed by Leandro close to the up right hand corner of the goal, but the goalkeeper did a good save. TOT could score another goal in two chances well blocked by Narit. Afterwards, Bangkok Glass had three chances to score by Goshi, first with a cross from the left side that was kicked into his own goal by a rival defender when Goshi was ready to shoot and the rival goalkeeper did a fantastic save; also with a far shot blocked without trouble by the goalkeeper; and finally with a shot that went over the bar after a through pass inside the box. However, it was not until the 92nd minute when Bangkok Glass could reduce the difference in the scoreboard by Leandro, who headed perfectly into goal a cross from the left side.
After this defeat, Bangkok Glass loses the co-leadership and is now third, but tied to 13 points with Army United, which is second. The new leader of Thai Premier League is Suphanburi with 14 points.
