Match corresponding to the 1/32 finals when Bangkok Glass played a one-game away match against Sa Kaeo City, from Thai Second Division. Win for the visiting team for 1-2, which qualifies Bangkok Glass for the 1/16 round.
The bad condition of the pitch altered the play, putting in difficulties the style of play of Bangkok Glass. First half was clearly dominated by the visiting team, with several good chances to reach half time in clear advantage, however the first 45 minutes ended with a draw 1-1. Bangkok Glass soon took the lead, after a poor clearance by the local goalkeeper, the ball ended in the feet of Tasevski who made a through pass to Goshi who face the goalkeeper in a hand-to-hand and beat him with a cross shot; it was the 5th minute. Nevertheless, Sa Kaeo reacted quickly and levelled the game in the 17th minute after a long ball from the defence directly to the forwards, the bounce of the ball surpassed Matt Smith, and the rival forward, quick to react, took benefit of it, dribbled the goalkeeper and scored. Both teams managed to score in their first shot on goal. From there to the end of the first half, there was a monologue of Bangkok Glass with several opportunities to have taken the lead in the scoreboard. First one in a free-kick executed by Narong to the box, which ended in the feet of Tasevski after a head touch by a teammate, but his shot hit the bar and the subsequent deflection was kicked over the bar by Bodin. Next one with a ball crossed to the second post from the right side that was headed to the side of the net by Goshi. Finally, with a long pass by Narong to Kaimbi, who controlled the ball inside the box and shot hitting the post in a nice individual play.
The second half started with a very clear opportunity for Sa Kaeo, which incredibly did not end up inside the goal. A cross to the box from the left side was cleared by Narit but the ball ended inside the box, the shot from a rival attacker was cleared over the goal line by Bangkok Glass defence, the ball was then deflected into the air and cleared again over the goal line by Narit, the ball went deflected again to the heart of the box and the shot by a rival forward was cleared again twice by the defence over the goal line. However, it would be Bangkok Glass who took the lead. A long ball to the edge of Sa Kaeo’s box was cleared by the local defence to the feet of Kaimbi, who made a wall-play with a teammate, entered the box and beat the goalkeeper in a nice action; it was minute 74. From here till the end of the game not much to highlight, just a cross to the box from the left wing that was headed by Leandro into the goalkeeper’s hands.
