Matchday 12 of Thai Premier League in which Bangkok Glass visited the stadium of Osotspa. Local win by 1-0 in a disputed game with few goal chances.
The match started badly for Bangkok Glass, as the local team scored the victory goal after only 6 minutes from kick-off. In a free-kick executed from their own side of the pitch, the ball was headed back by the rival forward to the feet of Diogo in an error of the defence, he entered the area alone and scored with a crossed shot to the left post of the goal defended in this occasion by Pornchai. After the goal, Osotspa concentrated in defending the advantage and the visiting team did not have clear goal opportunities to score despite having the control of the game. The best chance for Bangkok Glass in the first half came after a breakthrough in right wing by Kaimbi, but his cross to the small box could not be kicked by Anan, fighting with a local defender, and the ball was blocked by the goalkeeper. Not much else to highlight in a first half with few movement in both areas.
The second half continued in the same line, with both teams unable to create good goal chances. The first opportunity in the second half was for the local team, with a shot from the edge of the box that was well saved by Pornchai. Danger from the visiting team came with long distance shots, first by Narong in a free-kick, and later by Peeraphong, but both shots went over the bar. The local team also tried to score with a far shot, but the ball was blocked by Pornchai without trouble. Bangkok Glass could level the match in a play in the right side, the crossing to the far post ended in the feet of Bodin, who dribbled the defender and shot on goal, the goalkeeper deflected the ball with some problems, and the subsequent deflection was sent to corner by a local defender. Osotspa answered with a free-kick executed from the right side that went out after touching the top part of the bar. Bodin had a new chance with a far shot that went slightly out. The local team had a new dangerous shot on goal from outside the box, but the ball was blocked by Pornchai. In the following play, a local player crossed the ball from the right side, which was headed on goal by the striker but the ball was cleared by Pornchai in a magnificent save. The last opportunity of the game came after a great through-pass in the left side from Tasevski to Kaimbi, who entered the box but his shot went directly to the goalkeeper´s hands. This was the end of a match where the defences came first and there were no clear goal chances.
Despite the defeat, Bangkok Glass is still third in the standings, tied to 24 points with the second, Muang Thong United, who also lost in their visit to Chonburi. The leader is, one more week, Buriram United, now with 28 points and an advantage of 4 points over his pursuers.
